Mahendra singh dhoni (Mahi) born on 7th July 1981 in Ranchi, Jharkhand is a right hand batsman ,wicketkeeper(captain) of the Indian team . Born on 1981 to Pan Singh and Devki devi , mahi is the youngest of three children.His father moved from Almora (uttarakhand) to Ranchi ,to work in  junior management position in MECON .Mahendra has a sister named Jayanti and a brother Narendra.Dhoni studied at DAV Ranchi where he intially tried his hands on badminton and football.Dhoni was a goalkeeper for his football team where his coach told him to try his hands on cricket.
